Business Bulletin is an AI-assisted news digest service covering restructuring and industry sector news. The data controller is the operator of this service (contact@business-bulletin.uk).
2. What personal data we collect
When you subscribe, we collect: your name (optional), your email address, your sector preferences, your subscription date, and a securely hashed password. We do not collect payment information, browsing data, or any data beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data solely to: deliver the daily and weekly email digest; allow you to log in to your subscriber dashboard; send password reset emails when requested; and personalise content based on your sector preferences. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given at the point of subscription. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
5. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of third-party services: Supabase (database), SendGrid (email delivery), Anthropic (AI news generation — your personal data is not passed to Anthropic), and Railway (hosting). We do not sell or share your data with any other parties.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. You may request permanent deletion at any time by emailing contact@business-bulletin.uk.
7. Data security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sessions are time-limited and stored securely. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to withdraw consent. Email contact@business-bulletin.uk to exercise any of these rights.
9. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (bb_session) to keep you logged in to your dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts.
